Everyone is welcome to join us in the McBride Sacred Space in Numen Lumen Pavilion on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. to celebrate the Muslim holiday of Eid Al-Adha.
Students, staff, and community members share stories and a sampling of traditional foods at Elon's celebration of the Muslim festival known as the Feast of Sacrifice.
The celebration recognizes the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son to God and commemorates the end of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. This is part of the Truitt Center Festival Series and is co-sponsored by Elon Muslim Society.
