Jones attends conferences, elected to post

Angela Lewellyn Jones, associate professor of social justice and director/coordinator of Women’s & Gender Studies, attended the Southern Sociological Society conference last week and presented on a panel with three other sociologists discussing “Issues in Teaching with Service-Learning and Community Based Research.” As a panelist, she discussed her use of service learning the Violence In Families course (HUS 349 WG/CJ) at Elon.

Jones also attend the Sociologists for Women in Society-South meeting, where she was elected vice-president for the term 2005-2007.
