Re: Alumni e-services

As we prepare for Commencement, I want to give you some important information about your electronic accounts at Elon. We want to help every student make a smooth transition from student to alumnus. That includes closing out the various e-services you have been using and signing up for the many services available to alumni.

A special Web site will guide you through this e-transition. Go to:

http://www.elon.edu/e-net/alumni_eservices.asp

Things you should know:

  • Your Phoenix Card will terminate as of May 23.
  • Your e-mail account, Web site account and mass storage accounts will terminate as of August 15. Please be sure to remove any files you want to save prior to that date.
  • Elon provides a permanent Elon e-mail address for alumni, which operates as a forwarding service. Whenever you change jobs or acquire a new e-mail account, just change the forwarding address on your Elon alumnus e-mail address. You may begin to use this service any time after June 1.
  • Please take time to register for the alumni directory. This will allow your friends and classmates to remain in contact with you and give you access to the alumni guestbook and bulletin board. You may begin to use this service any time after June 1.
  • All alumni should sign up for the E-link system, which provides an e-mail subscription to the ThisWeek@Elon newsletter and other important e-mail communications.
  • Your Ontrack account will remain active, giving you access to your transcript at any time.
  • Alumni receive permanent access to the Elon Job Network operated by the Career Center.
