Congratulations to Christopher Weitzen, recipient of a 2005 Freeman Asia Study Abroad Scholarship, as well as a JASSO scholarship for study in Asia. Christopher is an Elon student who will be studying abroad for the 2005-2006 academic year at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan. The Freeman Asia award is for students planning to study abroad in Asia. The JASSO (Japanese Student Services Organization) provides generous scholarships, also to students planning on studying in Asia. Both scholarships are highly competitive. The Freeman Asia is a national competition, and the JASSO is an international competition. The Isabella Cannon Centre salutes Christopher for his accomplishments.
