The Computer Science Department welcomed new faculty member Pratheep Kumar Paranthaman.
Assistant Professor Pratheep Kumar Paranthaman has joined the Department of Computer Science.
Paranthaman will play an important role in the new Game Design Minor, a multi-disciplinary program focused on teaching students to design computer games, where he will teach a variety of games-related courses. His research also focuses on games and is currently centered on exploring the insights of the player experience, as well as wider topics related to artificial intelligence.
Prior to joining Elon, Paranthaman worked as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Northeastern University. He earned his doctorate from the University of Genoa, Italy, his master’s degree from Heriot-Watt University, U.K., and his bachelor’s degree from Anna University in India.
