Elon University anticipates heavy traffic, particularly on Williamson Avenue, on Friday, Sept. 27, during Fall Convocation and Family Weekend.
Traffic is expected to be heaviest from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m., with Elon hosting Nikki Haley during Fall Convocation at 3:30 p.m. in the Schar Center on North Williamson Avenue. Please plan accordingly.
Drivers who are not attending Fall Convocation are encouraged to avoid North Williamson Avenue when driving to Elon during those hours. Drivers traveling to Elon on University Drive are encouraged to use North O’Kelly Avenue (westbound drivers) or Manning Avenue (eastbound drivers).
