The community is invited to events and demonstrations at Arts West at 410 W. Haggard Ave.
Are you feeling inspired, looking to try something new, or simply wanting to get your hands dirty?
The Department of Art will host Try It Night from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Arts West, 410 W. Haggard Ave. The event is open to Elon students, faculty, staff and the wider community. It will feature artist-in-residence Grace Tessein.
Activities offered include:
- Throwing pots on the wheel, and creating a ceramic tile (room 116, limited to 50 people);
- Drawing from a portrait model (room 104);
- Creating Handmade Books and Zines (room 114) and;
- Learn about and try stop-motion animation (room 120).
Visitors can also meet faculty, learn about upcoming courses, and view student and faculty work on display.
Snacks will be provided. Dress to get messy.
