The published paper puts forward concepts for new forms of operating system interaction and interface based not on the outdated desktop metaphor but instead takes its lead from video game interface design. The paper is based upon a panel presentation “Interrogating the Interface,” that Professor Salmond gave at the College Art Association conference in Atlanta in February 2005.
