The $26,000 grant will be used to assess the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education at Elon, Towson University and the College of William and Mary.
Elena Kennedy, assistant professor of entrepreneurship, and Sean McMahon, Doherty Emerging Professor of Entrepreneurship and associate professor of entrepreneurship, received a $26,000 Innovate/Collaborate (IN/CO) grant from the Colonial Academic Alliance for their project, “Outcomes of Entrepreneurial Education: Perceptions of Career Readiness.”
The total value of the collaborative grant is $40,000. It is shared with Towson University and the College of William and Mary.
The research project is intended to assess entrepreneurship education effectiveness across the three institutions. The long-term goal is to utilize data relating to perceptions of career readiness from employers and recent graduates to develop stronger entrepreneurship education programs that successfully prepare students for their first employment destination and beyond.
