The annual Jazz Festival Concert is a show not to be missed and annually features a number of wonderful guest artists. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, in McCrary Theatre in the Center for the Arts.
Phillip Whack, Eastman Saxophones Performing and Recording Artist, and jazz guitarist Andy Page, currently on the music faculty at Appalachian State University, will serve as guest clinicians throughout the festival.
The Saturday evening concert will combine the Elon Jazz Ensemble with the guest clinicians and a special appearance by the Brubeck Brothers Quartet. Chris and Dan Brubeck have been making music together for more than a half century, playing a variety of styles with a number of different groups, including with their father, jazz giant Dave Brubeck. Guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb, complete the dynamic quartet.
These versatile musicians will bring a very special night of large format jazz music to Elon University.
Admission is free and no ticket is required.
