The “Break for the Bay” fall break service trip came to an end late Tuesday night when the Elon bus and vans carrying 32 students and eight faculty and staff members pulled into Elon’s Moseley Center parking lot. Details…
The students were tired, but satisfied with what they had accomplished with their time away; and after camping out for several days in tents overlooking the Gulf in Bay St. Louis, Miss., they were more than ready for hot showers and a warm bed.
Jenny Trimble, director of the Kernodle Center for Service Learning, deemed the trip a success. “I think it was more than I could have imagined,” she says.
