Elon University is planning a series of virtual conversations with students, alumni, faculty and staff about racism and injustice faced by Black members of our community on campus and in the wider world.
The first in the series of videos will be led by President Connie Ledoux Book and Randy Williams, associate vice president for inclusive excellence.
“First and foremost, we want to listen to those in our community who are experiencing pain and trauma about the horrific events taking place in our nation,” Book said. “We are committed to continuing action to make Elon and our world a better place, and the best place to start is to hear from those who are directly impacted by systemic racism.”
The first conversation in the series, which will feature four Elon students, will be shared at noon on Thursday, June 11, on Today at Elon and Elon’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
You can help make this series successful by sending your questions and comments to President Book and Dr. Williams. Your ideas will help drive the topics for this series.
