Elon President Connie Ledoux Book discussed the COVID-19 pandemic as it relates to higher education on the Rockefeller Client Insights podcast.
President Connie Ledoux Book was a featured guest on a recent Rockefeller Client Insights podcast episode about the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on institutions of higher education.
Joining President Book on a virtual panel were Brian Casey, president of Colgate University, and Mary Schmidt Campbell, president of Spelman College. Led by Greg Fleming, president and chief executive officer of Rockefeller Capital Management, the discussion focused on the COVID-19 pandemic, its impact on higher education and how each institution is preparing its community for the fall semester.
“I’m really proud of the fact that the United States has the most diverse ecosystem of higher education,” Book said. “And that is making it possible for us to have a diverse response to how we come back from the coronavirus. I think the worst thing that could happen is if every university did exactly the same thing. We’ll be in better shape if each of us leverages our unique strengths and comes back with what makes the most sense for our university.”
