The ranking by Zippia, a career services website, draws upon federal data in rating Elon among the top universities in the country for employment 10 years after they first enrolled. Elon ranked among the top 16 colleges and universities in the country.
For a third consecutive year, Zippia has named Elon University as North Carolina’s leading university for preparing students for employment. The career services website based its 2020 rankings on data from the federal government’s Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
The IPEDS data estimates that 95 percent of Elon graduates were employed 10 years after they first enrolled, which places Elon with the top colleges and universities nationally.
A survey of Elon’s Class of 2019 found that nine months after graduation, 95 percent were employed, in graduate school, completing a fellowship or working for a service organization. The survey found that 92 percent had accepted a position related to their career goals.
