Kylee Gomilla ’20 publishes paper focusing on tackling inequalities in school attendance zones

The article appears in The North Carolina Journal of Mathematics and Statistics.

Kylee Gomilla ’20 and Professor Crista Arangala recently published a paper that provides a unique contribution to the pursuit of equity in the Charlotte Mecklenburg district by constructing mathematical models which have not been seriously considered as a helpful tool in the fight against this complex issue of equity in school assignments.

The article, “Mathematical Modeling for Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Zones,” appears in The North Carolina Journal of Mathematics and Statistics.
