Information about post-election events, resources, and support is available online here. Today you are invited to share your hope for the future in the pop-up public art project on E. Haggard Avenue, between Scott Plaza and Young Commons. A number of offices are open and available for conversation and reflection on the election results, and events and resources will continue over the coming weeks.

Final student flu vaccine clinic

The final on-campus flu vaccination clinic for students will be held Friday, November 6, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Phoenix Activities and Recreation Center (PARC) in the Danieley Center Neighborhood. To make an appointment, sign up online here. After this Friday, students will need to get their flu vaccination from an off-campus provider. All students are required to receive the flu vaccine before returning to campus in January. Details about the flu vaccination requirement can be found online here.

End of the semester travel

Information about travel at the end of the semester has now been posted to the Elon Ready & Resilient website here. Students should review this information carefully. Among the recommendations:

  • Maintain vigilance with physical distancing in the two weeks prior to your departure
  • Avoid the use of public transportation, if possible
  • Get a flu shot before you go
  • Plan ahead for any requirements of your home state or final destination

Information about the availability of optional COVID-19 testing on-campus the week of November 16 will be communicated in next week’s update.

University residence halls (not apartments) will close on Tuesday, November 25, at 10 a.m. If you need to stay in your residence hall past that date, you must submit a formal request for break housing. Information is available on the Residence Life website here, and all requests are due no later than Friday, November 20.

If you feel ill or experience COVID-19 symptoms, avoid all contact with others. Stay at home and in your room. Do not go to class, work, dining halls, etc. Guidance for students, faculty and staff on what to do if you feel ill is on the Ready and Resilient website.
