Love Your Body Week is organized by Campus Recreation & Wellness and will be held Feb. 22-26.

Campus Recreation & Wellness will host the sixth annual Love Your Body Week  from Feb. 22 to 26. Love Your Body Week started in 2016 to celebrate body positivity and holistic well-being.

Delivering this year’s keynote is Mike Marjama, a professional baseball player and nationally recognized speaker. Marjama will share his powerful story about overcoming eating disorders and perfectionism to live a healthy and well-balanced life. The virtual keynote will be on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. Registration is required for this session.

Love Your Body Week has both in-person and virtual programs throughout the week, based on a theme for each day. Mindful Movement Mondayincludes a virtual mindful eating session with Christine Borzumato-Gainey from Counseling Services, a smoothie “pop-up” with Elon Dining, and Ladies Lifting, a weight-lifting orientation for female-identified students.

Treat Yourself Tuesday, Wellness Wednesday, and Thoughtful Thursdayinclude programs around various dimensions of well-being, including purpose, social, community, physical, financial, and emotional. Love Your Body Week concludes with Feel Good Fitness Friday, highlighted by a fitness marathon in the Koury Center, with group exercise classes every hour from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
