Davis named to Business Journal’s “10 To Watch” List

Leary Davis, founding dean of the Elon University School of Law, has been named to the Triad Business Journal's "10 To Watch" list of business and community leaders. The list is featured in the Jan. 6 edition of the Business Journal. Details...

Davis’ profile, titled “Dean of Downtown,” was written by Business Journal reporter Michelle Cater Rash. The law school, scheduled to open in August 2006 in downtown Greensboro, expects to enroll 100 students in its first class.

The Business Journal story says Davis merits placement on the list because of the role the law school will play in revitalizing downtown Greensboro.

“The developers of several downtown condo projects say they think the school can boost the number of people living in the central business district,” the article says. “And the law school has been cited as an example of things being done to help recruit young professionals to the city.”
