The documentary, titled “JUBA! The Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance,” offered a close look at the Chicago Human Rhythm Project in 1999. The hour-long program aired April 18 on North Carolina Public Television.
Medler’s company, the North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble (NCYTE), participated in the festival, which featured many of the old masters of tap dancing. Medler was interviewed for the show and offered his opinions on the history of tap, and its future.
