Roller hockey club ends successful season

This past weekend, the varsity roller hockey team participated in its league’s end of season tournament. The team made it to the semifinal round and posted a very respectable 3-2 record for the tournament.

On Saturday, April 21, Elon was defeated in the first game by Georgia Tech, 7-2, but rebounded to win its next two games, defeating Duke, 12-5, and North Carolina, 4-1.

On Sunday, Elon met Duke again and won 5-3 to advance to the semifinal round against George Tech. After finishing regulation in a 3-3 tie, Georgia Tech won a tie-breaking shootout and advanced to the championship game. East Carolina defeated Georgia Tech in the championship game.

In addition, the junior varsity team had an equally successful season, finishing with a winning record of 11-10-1.
