Tickets for guests may be purchased at $15 each. Each student is entitled to one free ticket per game. Each faculty or staff member is entitled to two (2) free adult tickets per game. Free tickets for dependent children living at home may also be requested. Dependents who do not have their own Phoenix Cards must accompany the employee to the Rhodes Stadium gate to be admitted.

Advance tickets

Advance ticket pickup is encouraged. The Ticket Office (Koury Center 103-A) will be open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Thursday the week before home football games. A current Phoenix Card is required to pick up a game ticket. The card will be swiped to reserve a specific seat in Rhodes Stadium.

An individual student or faculty/staff member may pick up tickets for up to five (5) other students or employees by presenting current Phoenix Cards for those persons. Advanced seating for students will be assigned on a first come-first served basis in sections 104, 105, 106 and 107. Faculty and staff will be seated in section 102. Available seats will be indicated on the Ticket Office’s computerized stadium seating chart. Members of the Elon Athletics Foundation may request EAF Priority Seating by contacting the Ticket Office.

Game-day tickets

Tickets on game day will be available at the Rhodes Stadium Box Office two hours prior to kickoff. Game-day tickets will be distributed as available. Specific seats cannot be selected.

Group seating

A group may reserve a block of seats in Rhodes Stadium. A representative of the group must place the reservation between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the Monday prior to the game. An individual must present his/her Phoenix Card at the Ticket Office to pick up a ticket in the reserved block. An individual may pick up no more than five (5) additional tickets for group members by presenting those members’ current Phoenix Cards. All seats in the block must be secured by individual Phoenix Cards no later than 4 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the game. Unsecured blocked seats will be released at that time. Group seating is available on a game-by-game basis and cannot be blocked for the entire season.

Tailgating

Phoenix fans are invited to tailgate on The Green prior to each home football game. The Green is located behind Moseley Center and adjacent to Ellington and Loy Centers. Fans may begin tailgating 2-1/2 hours prior to kickoff. Tailgating will end 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Tailgaters are responsible for cleaning their areas before departing.

Reservations

Groups may reserve tailgating space on The Green by contacting the Office of Student Life (278-7200). Registered groups will be assigned two tables for food and beverages and will also receive two passes to the Moseley Center parking lot. Loy Center groups may tailgate at their houses by registering with the Office of Student Life.

Tents

Tents without stakes are permitted on The Green. Groups wishing to rent tents should contact the Office of Student Life at least 10 days prior to game day. Tent rental is $150.00 per game. Commercial tents must be approved in advance by the Office of Student Life.

Food

Fans may bring picnic lunches or purchase food from campus dining services or other food vendors located in the tailgating area. Grilling is permitted on The Green. Disposal bins and fire extinguishers will be provided in the tailgating area for safe charcoal disposal.

Alcoholic beverages

For individuals 21 years of age or older, alcohol consumption is allowed while tailgating in designated campus areas. Responsible and appropriate behavior is required. All state and local laws must be observed. Individuals must provide their own alcohol. Alcohol will not be sold on campus. All beverages should be served in paper or plastic cups. For safety reasons, open containers, kegs, other multi-serving containers, glass bottles, or aluminum cans are not allowed. Organizations or groups providing alcohol to members or guests may serve beer or wine only. Please call the Office of Student Life for information and a full description of the alcohol consumption guidelines at Elon University.

Student parking

For 2001 home football games, student vehicles authorized to park in Harper Center, Moseley, or McMichael parking lots must be moved from those lots by 9 a.m. on game day. Parking for student vehicles on those days will be available in Mooney, Whitley, Danieley Center, and East Building lots, as well as at Elon Elementary School and along the railroad tracks on Lebanon Avenue. In consideration of this, student parking permits for Harper Center, Moseley and McMichael lots will be available at reduced cost. Students who normally park in Jordan Center lots will be asked to move their vehicles to Jordan lot #2 or the southern end of Jordan lot #1 on game days.
