International business dual-degree graduates join global alumni network

The Elon International Business Dual Degree Class of 2021 completed their undergraduate academic careers, receiving degrees from Elon as well as a European school.

Eleven members of Elon’s Class of 2021 begin their careers after graduating with two bachelor’s degrees – the BSBA in International Business from Elon and a second degree from a European partner institution.

The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, a member of the International Partnership of Business Schools (IPBS), holds dual-degree partnerships with the ESB Business School in Reutlingen, Germany; NEOMA Business School in Reims, France; Universidad Pontificia Comillas – ICADE in Madrid, Spain; and Universita Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza, Italy.

As part of the four-year dual-degree program, students spend their first two years studying at their home institution and their last two years studying abroad at the partner institution.

“As a second home, Elon helped me grow as a person and prepared me for an international career in a globalized world,” said Marlo Neske ’21, who attended Elon after spending two years at ESB in Germany.

While abroad, dual-degree students deepen their international business experience by completing a full-time, semester-long work experience as well as a research portfolio.

Many students note the strong personal relationships formed while abroad as a top program benefit.

“For me, Elon has been a life changing experience, both academically and personally, but the most important thing that I am bringing with me for the rest of my life is the people and all the amazing moments we have lived together,” shared Marta De Cossio ’21, who studied at Universidad Pontificia Comillas – ICADE before coming to Elon.

“I am grateful for all the new stories and experiences I have had at Elon, and for the people who have been a part of them,” added ESB/Elon student Alexander Wellendorff ’21.

In addition to joining Elon’s alumni network, graduates are also part of the IPBS cross-cultural community of 13 leading business schools throughout Europe, North America and Latin America.
