Professor publishes book of poetry

Kyle Torke, assistant professor of English, had his book of original poetry published July 20. Details...

Titled “Archaeology of Bones” and published by Gorsky Press, the book became available in U.S. bookstores July 20. “Archaeology of Bones” is available for purchase on the internet at Barnesandnoble.com and Amazon.com.

Torke covers a wide variety of topics in his poetry, ranging from traditional explorations of seasonal change to time’s complex loops.

Torke’s first book, “Dead Triathletes Speak,” was published in December 1999. Torke co-authored the book, a collection of essays, with fellow Elon faculty member Tom Arcaro.

Torke joined the Elon faculty in 1995. A graduate of Grinnell College, Torke holds master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Denver.
