Nancy Snow, a 2000 Elon graduate and cast member for “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story,” was mentioned in a Feb. 1 article in the Burlington Times-News.
The musical will make a stop Feb. 8-10 at War Memorial Auditorium in Greensboro. It profiles the life and career of Holly, the famous singer who died in a plane crash in 1959 at age 22.
Snow, who earned her degree in music theatre at Elon, primarily plays Peggy Sue, the inspiration for the famous Holly song by that name. Peggy Sue was married to a member of Holly’s stage band, the Crickets.
A native of Murphy, N.C., Snow also plays the role of Mary Lou Sokoloff and is in the ensemble for the production. She has also been an understudy for the role of Maria Elena, Holly’s wife.
