Cantina Roble, which will officially open for business on Saturday, March 9, is located on Williamson Ave., in the space formerly occupied by Brown and Company and the university’s accounting office. Renovations began last summer after Brown and Company closed.

Featuring a restaurant and bar area, Cantina Roble is decorated in a Southwestern theme. During Thursday’s open house, guests were entertained by a mariachi band while sampling salsa, chicken tenders and sangrias. The lunch menu, with prices ranging from $5.95-$7.95, includes cold cut sandwiches, black bean burgers and fajita pastas. Dinner entrees range from $6.95-$16.95, with selections such as tenderloin and sirloin steak, crab cakes and salmon grill. Cantina’s bar offers a selection of wines, in-house microbrews and sangrias.

The restaurant is open to the public, but Elon students will enjoy the advantage of using either their declining balance meal plan or Phoenix Card at Cantina Roble, says Jeff Gazda, director of food service for ARAMARK.

Cantina Roble’s hours of operation are 11 a.m.-1 a.m., Monday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday. Josh Lowdermilk is the manager at Cantina Roble, while Tony Brock is the chef manager.
