Faculty member lands role in play

Richard Gang, assistant professor of performing arts, plays an 80-year-old Irish poet in “Saint Patrick’s Well,” a play which will run May 23-26 at the Greensboro Cultural Center. The play is part of the North Carolina New Play Project, presented by the Greensboro Playwrights’ Forum.

Gang portrays Dahrmohd Meehane in the play by Asheville playwright David Brendan Hopes. “Saint Patrick’s Well” follows the story of a young American doctor who attempts to learn more about his ancestry in Ireland. What he uncovers is a 60-year love triangle between his grandparents and Meehane.

Tickets for the play are $7 and may be purchased by calling the Greensboro Cultural Center box office at (336) 373-2974.
