The Elon University Marching Band, the “Fire of the Carolinas”, has been invited to perform as the exhibition band at two high school marching contests in October of 2002. The FOTC will perform at Ledford High School’s contest on October 5, and at the Central North Carolina Band Festival at Western High School on October 19. “This is a great honor for our band to be in this kind of demand in only our second year of existence”- Bill DeJournett, Director.
