Students donate pottery to local benefit event

Several Elon students have been busy this summer crafting pottery bowls which will be used at an Aug. 25 benefit event for CrossRoads Sexual Assault and Resource Center. Details...

Mike Sanford, associate professor of fine arts, is pictured at right, along with current students Angela Ragouzeos and Corinne Ripley. The three have joined with another current student, Todd Chollet, and recent graduate Alison Kandzer to create more than 100 bowls for Make A Sundae, Make A Difference.

Scheduled for 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 25 on the grounds of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Burlington, the event will offer ice cream sundaes in bowls made by the Elon students and various local potters.
