About Elon class rings:

With the transition from Elon College to Elon University in the summer of 2001, the student body and administration commissioned Jostens to create new official rings.

Two distinctive tops have been designed. The rounded signet bears an oak leaf emblazoned with an “E.” The second top option showcases the University seal set in a horizontal setting.

The side options for the rings are interchangeable and they depict Elon’s distinct qualities.

Side#1: The acorn and the oak. When a student enters Elon University they are given an acorn, and upon graduation they receive an oak sapling. This side represents your educational and personal growth at Elon and the stability of your University.

Side #2: The cupola from Alamance Building serves as a stately reminder of the school’s history. Alamance Building was the first new building on campus following the fire that destroyed Main Building in 1923.

Side#3: The oak leaf and the brick. Two enduring symbols of the school combined on one side. The leaf is the product of the grown sapling much as the student is the product of their growth at Elon. The brick, solid and lasting, encompasses the campus which provides strength to its students.

Side #4: The Phoenix is the newest symbol of Elon University. When Main Building burned in 1923, the school rose like the Phoenix from the ashes, rebuilt, flourished and now has become Elon University.

These official styles serve as a constant reminder of the lifelong friendships and incredible achievements you have gained. No matter where you travel in the world, you will always recognize another member of your Elon family by the ring they wear proudly on their finger.
