Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
Summary of updates in this message

- Case information and on-campus testing resources
- Booster clinic registration
Status updates
The university dashboard is updated on the Healthy Elon website each weekday morning.
- 63 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed among Elon students and employees over the past week, March 30 – April 5. This compares to 24 new cases the week prior.
- As of yesterday, April 5, there were an estimated 48 active cases among Elon students and employees. This compares to 21 active cases a week ago.
- Alamance County is in the “medium” category and Guilford County in the “low” category on the CDC community-level tracking tool.
- The CDC county tracking website includes guidance for individual/household prevention behaviors and community-level prevention strategies associated with each of the levels.
Case information and on-campus testing resources
- The increase in cases in the past nine days appears to be connected primarily to social relationships and direct contact among students who live together. We continue to monitor, investigate, and support those testing positive. We have found no evidence of transmission linked to classroom interactions.
- Students, faculty, and staff who are concerned they may have been exposed to a positive case are encouraged to seek testing. Information about testing resources is available on the Healthy Elon website.
Booster clinic registration
The final two booster clinics of the year will be held this Friday, April 8, and Friday, April 29. Clinics are scheduled for noon – 4 p.m. and will be held in the R.N. Ellington Center for Health and Wellness. Clinics are open to all students, faculty, and staff and participants should register in advance.
Additional information
Detailed information is always available on the Healthy Elon website, which provides important health and wellness information for students and employees, including what to do if you feel ill, test positive, or have close contact with a positive case. The site also offers responses to frequently asked questions about academics, vaccination, and employee information, as well as answers to questions related to the university mask policy and other campus protocols.
The next email update will be sent Wednesday, April 13, at 10:45 a.m., unless an additional message is warranted before then.
