Status updates
The university dashboard is updated on the Healthy Elon website each weekday morning.
- 68 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed among Elon students and employees over the past week, April 6-12. This compares to 63 new cases the week prior.
- As of yesterday, April 12, there were an estimated 41 active cases among Elon students and employees. This compares to 48 active cases a week ago.
- Alamance and Guilford counties are now both in the “low” category on the CDC community-level tracking tool.
- The CDC county tracking website includes guidance for individual/household prevention behaviors and community-level prevention strategies associated with each of the levels.
Testing and student health resources when the university is closed
- The Elon Law School will not hold classes Friday, April 15 and Law School offices will be closed.
- There are no undergraduate or graduate classes on main campus on Monday, April 18 and university offices will be closed that day.
- Student Health Services will be closed Sunday, April 17 and will be open adjusted hours, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., on Monday, April 18. Information about accessing on-demand virtual medical care through TimelyCare – available 24/7, including any time the Student Health Services in-person clinic is closed – can be found on the appointments page of the Student Health Services website.
- Asymptomatic testing in the Oaks McCoy Commons will not be held on Monday, April 18, but will follow the regular schedule all other days.
- Additional off-campus testing resources are listed on the testing page of the Healthy Elon website.

Detailed information is always available on the Healthy Elon website, which provides important health and wellness information for students and employees, including what to do if you feel ill, test positive, or have close contact with a positive case. The site also offers responses to frequently asked questions about academics, vaccination, and employee information, as well as answers to questions related to the university mask policy and other campus protocols.
