Status updates
The university dashboard is updated on the Healthy Elon website each weekday morning.
- 41 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed among Elon students and employees over the past week, April 13-19. This compares to 68 new cases the week prior.
- As of yesterday, April 19, there were an estimated 23 active cases among Elon students and employees. This compares to 41 active cases a week ago.
- The Alamance County Health Department has suspended publication of its COVID-19 daily dashboard. Alamance County weekly data is available via the NC Department of Health and Human Services Dashboard.
- Alamance and Guilford counties are both in the “low” category on the CDC community-level tracking tool.
- The CDC county tracking website includes guidance for individual/household prevention behaviors and community-level prevention strategies associated with each of the levels.
Availability of at-home tests and KN-95 masks
- In addition to campus testing resources, all students, faculty, and staff are reminded that every home in the U.S. is eligible to receive two sets of 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. Test kits can be ordered from the U.S. Postal Service website.
- As previously announced, free N95 or KN95 masks are available at the Moseley Center information desk.
Testing on Tuesday, April 26 (SURF Day)
Elon’s Spring Undergraduate Research Forum (SURF) Day is Tuesday, April 26. With the suspension of all classes, students are able to fully engage in the undergraduate research presentations. Asymptomatic testing hours will remain the same in Oaks, McCoy 207.
Booster Clinic on Friday, April 29
The final booster clinic of the year will be held next Friday, April 29. The clinic is scheduled for noon – 4 p.m. and will be held in the R.N. Ellington Center for Health and Wellness. The clinic is open to all students, faculty, and staff and participants should register in advance.

Detailed information is always available on the Healthy Elon website, which provides important health and wellness information for students and employees, including what to do if you feel ill, test positive, or have close contact with a positive case. The site also offers responses to frequently asked questions about academics, vaccination, and employee information, as well as answers to questions related to the university mask policy and other campus protocols.
