Elon’s English department is sponsoring several events in November that you won’t want to miss:
- Faculty Reading- Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Isabella Cannon Room. A reading of poetry, fiction and nonfiction by faculty in the English department. The stars: Tita Ramirez, Cassie Kircher, Drew Perry, Kevin Boyle, Ryan Futrell and Janet Warman.
- Poetry Reading-Monday, Nov. 11 at noon in Carlton 209. A poetry reading by Al Maginnes—the author of two books of poetry. Bring your lunch.
- Student Reading-Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in Whitley. “And Still I Rise”—Students’ creative reflections on issues of race, organized by Jane Stephens and Iris Chapman.
- Contest Winners’ Reading- Thursday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. in Carlton 209. The winners of the annual poetry contest will read their poems. The stars: Amanda Hulon, Paula Scherer, Kaitlyn North, Charter Woodruff, Irene Harvley-Felder, and Ryan Costello.
