The associate professor of accounting began leading the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business program on June 1.
Hani Tadros, associate professor of accounting in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, has been appointed faculty director of the Elon International Business Dual Degree (IBDD) program.
Since joining Elon in 2015, Tadros has taught Principles of Financial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II, MBA Foundations of Accounting, MSA International Accounting, The Global Experience, and Elon 1010. He received the Love School of Business Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2020 and the Professor of the Year award from Elon’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter in 2019.
Prior to earning his doctorate in business administration from Concordia University, he worked in the telecommunication, building management and oil industries.
The IBDD offers students the opportunity to study international business in two cultures and develop proficiency in another language, giving them a competitive edge in the global marketplace. Participating students spend two years at Elon and two years abroad studying at one of the Love School of Business’ partner institutions in France, Germany, Italy and Spain. In four years, students can earn a bachelor’s degree in international business from Elon and a second degree from either ESB Business School at Reutlingen University, NEOMA Business School, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore or Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
As faculty director, Tadros oversees the program’s curriculum and academic standards, serves as students’ academic advisor, collaborates with the Global Education Center, Department of World Languages and Cultures and Porter Family Professional Development Center to prepare students for success, and leads community activities.
Tadros succeeds Mark Kurt, professor of economics, who now serves as assistant dean of global education in the Global Education Center.
“I am confident that Hani will provide outstanding and creative leadership as he builds on the work that Dr. Mark Kurt has started to enhance and grow the dual degree program in the LSB,” said Raghu Tadepalli, dean of the Love School of Business.
