Faculty book chosen for list of significant titles

A recent book by Clyde Ellis, associate professor of history, was recently selected for inclusion on a list of significant books in 2001-2002.

“The Jesus Road: Kiowas, Christianity, and Christian Hymns” appeared on the list, published by CHOICE, the American Library Association’s academic book review service. The book was published by The University of Nebraska Press. Publishers belonging to the association were asked to submit their three most significant titles for the 2001-2002 year.

Ellis’ book has also been nominated for the Society for Humanistic Anthropology’s 2002 Victor Turner Prize in Ethnographic Writing.
