Elon programming team fares well in competition

A team of Elon students finished in a tie for 23rd place at the Southeast Regional Association for Computing Machinery Programming contest, held Nov. 16.

Students Ryan Barnard, Brian DeYoung and Michael Richards, along with faculty advisor Joel Hollingsworth, competed against 139 teams. The Elon team finished ahead of teams from schools such as Villanova, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Maryland and the College of William and Mary.
