Elon University highlighted in 2022 Sustainable Campus Index

The 2022 Sustainable Campus Index recognizes Elon University’s Facilities Management Habitat for Humanity Monthly Build Day Program and data accuracy.

Elon University has been highlighted for its sustainability efforts in the 2022 Sustainable Campus Index. A publication from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), the Sustainable Campus Index highlights innovative and high-impact initiatives from colleges and universities that submitted a Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) report in the most recent calendar year.

Elon was highlighted for the Facilities Management Habitat for Humanity Monthly Build Day Program and for being one of the institutions with the fewest data accuracy issues in its most recent STARS report.

The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. STARS was developed by AASHE with broad participation from the higher education community.
