On Saturday, Jan. 18, students in the Ghana history course will visit Elmina and the Cape Coast and see the slave forts where many people were held before they were transported to the Americas.
Students in the Cafe Europa course have completed their independent study time and reunited in Krakow, Poland. The students interviewed people about their views on joining the European Union.
Students in the London Studies course are in Edinburgh, Scotland, where they will enjoy a Scottish banquet.
Students in Peru are in Cuzco learning about Chinchero weaving and having lunch with local families.
In Costa Rica, students listened to a lecture on Costa Rican world relations given by Guillermo Barquero, who was a visiting professor at Elon during Winter Term 2002.
In Belize, students are exploring mangrove ecology while snorkeling and doing research on islands off the coast.
