Murray will perform on the Alyse Smith Cooper Casavant organ, which was installed in 2001. Murray teaches in the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and is known for his interpretations of the romantic repertoire. His recordings of Mendelssohn, Elgar, Franck, and Saint-Saens have received high acclaim. He has performed as a solo artist and appeared with major symphony orchestras throughout the world.
Tickets for the performance are $10, or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
