Each performance of the Fall Musical will take place at McCrary Theatre.
The Department of Performing Arts presents its Fall Musical, “Head over Heels,” for a four-night performance on Friday, Oct. 28, Saturday, Oct. 29, Thursday, Nov. 3 and Friday, Nov. 4 at McCrary Theatre in the Center for the Arts. Each show begins at 7:30 p.m, with a 2 p.m. performance on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Directed by Music Theatre Director Julio Matos Jr., “Head Over Heels” is a laugh-out-loud love story set to the music of the 1980s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s, including songs such as “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” and “Vacation.” Based on “The Arcadia” by Sir Phillip Sidney, the musical is a hilarious, exuberant celebration of love.
It follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction – only to discover the key to their survival lies within each of their own hearts.
