Bo Dalrymple ’25

Elon University student, Bo Dalrymple ’25, was presented with the Community Impact Student Award by NC Campus Engagement for his outstanding commitment and contribution to civic and community engagement.

Dalrymple was selected as the award winner by Elon administration after careful consideration of the students who made a lasting impact on their campus. He was honored for his efforts and achievements at the NC Campus Engagement biennial CSNAP Student Conference.

Since 2006, the Community Impact Student Award (CISA) recognizes an outstanding, full-time undergraduate student service leader from each NC Campus Engagement member campus. The award may honor an individual for diverse forms of engagement, including volunteer service, service-learning, policy work, community organizing, advocacy, and campus leadership. Award winners are selected by campus leaders and honored during the biennial CSNAP Student Conference. This year, CSNAP was held at NC State University with the theme, “Rising Together: Students Depolarizing North Carolina.”

Dalrymple was selected as the Elon CISA winner because he demonstrated exceptional leadership in many areas, including as the Elon Votes! Coordinator and Andrew Goodman Foundation Ambassador at Elon University.

His efforts significantly increased student voter registration and engagement, resulting in the successful establishment of an on-campus early voting site in collaboration with the Alamance County Board of Elections, utilized by over 4,500 voters during the midterms.

Additionally, Dalrymple served as a vital student representative in the nonpartisan Elon University Political Engagement Work Group, which aims to cultivate informed leaders and enhance civic engagement among students, faculty, and staff.

His leadership extended to the Active Citizen Series, an initiative fostering a deeper understanding of government operations and promoting civil discourse. While hosting events such as Presidential Debate Watch Events and dialogues, Dalrymple facilitated discussions like “Inside Town Hall – A Conversation with Town of Elon Mayor Emily Sharpe and Town Manager Richard Roedner,” promoting civic learning.

Dalrymple is the Vice President of Service in Beta Theta Pi, a senator in the Student Government Association, a Residence Life House Manager, and a National Security Education Program David L. Boren Scholarship recipient.
