The Elon University Women’s and Gender Studies program is offering a Women’s Self-Defense Workshop on Monday, April 3 from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Participants will learn basic physical and verbal skills with an emphasis on preventing assaults. The program will be taught by Kathleen Hopwood and Beth Seigler of SafeSkills®, Inc, a North Carolina company that specializes in teaching self-defense programs for agencies, businesses and universities.
The workshop will be held in the Moseley Center on the Elon campus. The program is open to female students and staff at Elon and is free for participants.
