Elon’s Summer Welcome Events connect Class of 2028 students and families

More than 34 Summer Welcome Events nationwide, from Seattle to Miami, welcome Class of 2028 families to the Elon community.

Elon University’s Summer Welcome Events offer a warm introduction to incoming families and students through informal gatherings held in July and August, just before the academic year begins. Hosted by current Elon families and their students, these events span across more than 34 locations nationwide, from Seattle to Miami. They provide invaluable opportunities for incoming families to establish connections before Move-In Day.

Host families comprised often of parents with students in their second, third or fourth years at Elon, share their personal experiences and insights to help incoming families better prepare for life as a Phoenix. Additionally, representatives from Elon’s Office of Admissions and University Advancement attend many events, offering guidance on academics, student life, and other important aspects of university living.

The Summer Welcome Events are scheduled from July 8 to August 15 and are organized by the Office of Parent Engagement at Elon University. These gatherings aim to cultivate a strong sense of community and support among incoming families as they begin their journey at Elon.
