WFMY features insights from Carrie Eaves on presidential campaign fundraising efforts

Eaves, associate professor of political science and policy studies, talked with the CBS affiliate following the announcement that President Biden would not run for re-election.

Following a dramatic change atop the Democratic ticket for the 2024 election season, donors ramped up their efforts to support Vice President Kamala Harris as she pursues the presidency.

“Women don’t all vote the same way, but this could particularly be energizing for them, and that large fundraising call may also suggest some excitement around again the potential for a female president,” Eaves told reporter Hannah Jeffries with the CBS affiliate.
