Jeff Clark speaks on the use of animations in multivariable calculus, monitors minicourse at MathFest

Clark, professor of mathematics, attended the Mathematical Association of America's MathFest and, as outgoing chair of the Committee on Minicourses, monitored one of minicourses offered there. He also presented a short paper on the use of animations in multivariable calculus.

Professor of Mathematics Jeff Clark attended the Mathematical Association of America’s annual MathFest in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Aug. 7 through Aug. 10.

Clark concluded six years as chair of the MAA’s Committee on Minicourses and monitored one of the minicourses that his committee selected on behalf of the MAA.

In addition, he spoke on “Animations in Multivariable Calculus,” about how to construct meaningful animations that advance student understanding and intuition about three-dimensional objects.
