Elon offering diversity, inclusion and belonging (DIB) modules training for faculty and staff

As part of Elon’s Inclusive Excellence system, the Office of Human Resources and the Office of Inclusive Excellence Education and Development (OIEED) offers Inclusive Excellence training.

The Office of Human Resources and the Office of Inclusive Excellence Education and Development (OIEED) offers the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) Modules. These modules are for faculty and staff to participate in professional development modules and have the opportunity to explore and expand their knowledge about inclusive excellence. Upon completing the modules, they will have built the necessary skills to contribute to Elon’s Inclusive Excellence work on campus.

Faculty and staff can access the DIB Modules by visiting the website. They will need to log in using their Elon credentials and select ‘start.’ Faculty and staff can also find the link on the Inclusive Excellence Faculty and Staff Education & Development page or the Human Resources Professional Development & Training page.

The Office of Human Resources and OIEED also host facilitated debrief conversations for a better understanding of the content. This is also an opportunity to develop action items based on what has been learned from the DIB modules. For a description of each module, they can be reviewed by visiting the DIB Suite. For course outlines and learning outcomes, they can be reviewed by visiting the DIB Suite for Leaders.

Faculty and staff at the School of Law or School of Health Sciences can contact Carla Fullwood or TJ Bowie if they are interested in coordinating a DIB debrief session at their schools.
