Nineteen students were inducted into Elon’s Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) economics honorary society on Apr. 9 during the Spring Economics Banquet. 

Elon’s chapter of Enactus, an international nonprofit organization focused on improving people’s quality of life through entrepreneurial action, is partnering with Burlington’s Cummings High School to create a mentoring program. 

Elon’s Enactus chapter placed as the first runner-up in the Enactus Regional Competition at the Embassy Suites in Concord, N.C., on Mar. 20.

Betsy Stevens, associate professor of management, and Scott Buechler, assistant professor of business communications, received the “Best Paper” award at the 2013 Association for Business Communication Midwest/Southeast Regional Conference on Mar. 8 in Louisville, Ky.

Dave Porter P’11, owner and managing partner of Baystate Financial Services, offered career, life and leadership advice to students on March 1 with his presentation titled “Moving Forward with Accountability.”
