Lindner Hall outfitted with crowning steeple

Lindner Hall, the latest addition to the Elon campus, was topped with a steeple Jan. 15. The 39-foot tower was capped by a copper dome and spire. Lindner Hall in the Academic Village is scheduled for completion this summer and will serve as the new headquarters of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences.

Philip Craft named director of communications for Elon University School of Law

Philip A. Craft has been named director of communications for Elon University School of Law. He joins Elon Law after serving seven years as deputy chief of staff and press secretary for U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (N.Y.) and three years as director of communications and marketing for City Parks Foundation in New York City.

35 Elon student-athletes earn fall 2008 academic all-conference honors

Thirty-five Elon student-athletes received academic all-conference recognition by the Southern Conference during the fall season. Elon ranked #2 among the 12 SoCon schools in the number of athletes earning recognition. To be eligible, a student-athlete must possess at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average entering the fall season and must have competed in at least one-half of their team’s competitions during the recently-concluded fall campaign.
