Steven D. House selected as next provost of Elon University

Steven D. House, dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences, and associate vice president for academic affairs, has been named provost and vice president for academic affairs at Elon University. His appointment by President Leo M. Lambert comes after a four-month national search.

Mayor Cory Booker – Bryan Leadership Lecture – Feb. 3

Cory Booker, Mayor of Newark, N.J., and a Yale Law alum and Rhodes Scholar, will deliver the Joseph M. Bryan Distinguished Leadership Lecture at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3. The event will be at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro.

Elon-Pew “Future of the Internet III” survey looks ahead to technology in 2020

A new survey of world Internet leaders outlines predictions for the wired world of 2020, including sophisticated mobile online access, voice-recognition, and artificial and virtual reality. The study was conducted by the Imagining the Internet Center in Elon's School of Communications and the Pew Internet & American Life Project.

New Voices magazine writes about increase in Elon Jewish enrollment

New Voices, the national Jewish student magazine, included Elon in a Nov. 24 article about the boom in Jewish student enrollment at Southern colleges and universities. The story mentions Elon, Vanderbilt University, Millsaps College, and the University of Charleston as schools that are experiencing rapid Jewish enrollment growth.
