Men’s soccer team finishes perfect SoCon season

The Phoenix soccer team beat Furman Oct. 28 to complete a 7-0-0 perfect Southern Conference season. This is Elon's first regular season men's soccer title in the conference. Elon will enter the SoCon tournament Nov. 8 as the top seed, and will host the quarterfinal game on campus.
David Crowe awarded Elon’s first full-year faculty sabbatical

David Crowe, professor of history, has been awarded Elon's first full-year faculty sabbatical in order to do research for a new book he is writing. The award was announced at Fall Convocation on Oct. 23.

Donna Oliver '72 has been named the sixth president of Mississippi Valley State University, located in Leflore County, Miss. The announcement was made Oct. 22 by the Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.
